As you may now if you watch my videos regularly, Slash released a new album with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. The band hasn’t been changed since the previous album, Apocalyptic Love, which was in my opinion a great hard rock album with great lyrics, solos and riffs. This band has proved itself with this previous album so I was really excited for this album. In this blog I will share opinions on some of the songs and give my top 3 of songs and solos from this album.

Top 3 songs
3. World On Fire
This song was released to create a hype for this new album and they really hyped me up with this song. The best part of this song in my opinion, is the pre-chorus and chorus. The high tempo guitar riffs in combination with the lead and backing vocals just give me goosebumps every time I listen to this song. On top of that, the solo proves that Slash still is an incredible guitarist.

2. The Dissident
The main riff after the intro parts just sounds amazing with that classic warm Les Paul neck humbucker tone, but that isn’t even the best thing about this song. Myles Kennedy’s voice is just perfect for this song. The high notes just sound amazing and the chorus of this song is just brilliant.

1. The Unholy
This song just has a mysterious feel to it. The clean intro part reminds me of Alter Bridge and the chorus parts just sound amazing. This song is just so dynamic with the little solo parts and the bridge at the end lead introduces an entirely different feel to this song. My favorite song of the album by far.

Top 3 solos
3. Bent To Fly
This solo confirms that a good solo doesn’t need to be really fast. It contains some fast little licks, but this solo is more focused on the general feel of the song. I think this solo really suits the song and the outro solo of this song really compliments the rest of the song.

2. 30 Years To Life
Another epic song with some killer sounding riffs with a really ‘dirty’ solo. The chromatic little riffs at the beginning of the solo just sound amazing. The rhythm guitar in the background sounds great in combination with the lead guitar and I really love how dynamic this solo is. Chromatic, low notes, chromatic building up to bends and a great ending. Love this solo.

1. Wicked Stone
This solo starts with a variant of the intro riff and just sounds killer. If you haven’t listened to this song yet, stop what you’re doing and play this song immediately. It reminds me a lot of the old hard rock solos from a Slash’s Snakepit album, which I love. Great solo, amazing song, check it out.

Conclusion
Another great rock album with some really diverse songs. The riffs are killer, the solos sound amazing and Myles Kennedy did an amazing job with the vocals on the tracks. I would love to hear your opinion about this album so be sure to leave a comment on this page!
